I am a Occupational Therapist (HCPC registered and a member of BAOT) with a keen interest in independent and role emerging roles that promote independent living and ageing well. I currently work for the NHS supporting older people following a stay in hospital. My role involves supervising 2 therapy assistants to provide a person centred rehab programme. This involves transfer and mobility assessments, assessment in the persons home, liaison with families and other agencies. The end goal primarily involves supporting people on to the next appropriate discharge destination in a timely manner. Independently my husband and I have developed an award winning business, Independent Futures.
